OGbaby AND OGmama GAIN THE LOWEST TOXICITY RATINGS ON SKIN DEEP
STURGEON BAY, WI. - OGbaby and OGmama, USDA Certified Organic body care lines from Trillium Organics (www.trilliumorganics.com), have gained the lowest toxicity ratings on Skin Deep (www.cosmeticdatabase.com), the database from the Environmental Working Group which rates toxicity levels in cosmetics and personal care products.
The Skin Deep database allows consumers to browse products by category to find independent ratings on the ingredients used in the products of both compact signers and non-signers. A products toxicity level is rated based on the EWG’s strict standards. Ratings fall into three categories, 0-2 Low Hazard, 3-6 Moderate Hazard and 7-10 High Hazard. Trillium Organics is a member and one of the earliest signers of the EWG’s Compact for Safe Cosmetics and with a total of nine products spanning the OGbaby and OGmama lines, a majority received a “0” rating with a select few products receiving a level “1” rating.
Products that received the lowest score of “0” include OGbaby’s Really Fragrance Free (RFF) Gentle Soap and Moisture Oil along with OGmama’s Stretch Happy 360’s (SH360) Belly Oil, Belly Butter and Gentle Soap. Those receiving the score of one “1” include the RFF Barrier Balm, Breathe Free Tea Tree (BFTT) Gentle Soap and Respiratory Rub and the SH360 Belly Polish.
