Luncheon for Soap Makers
Spring Valley, CA, July 6, 2007 /SOAPWIRE/ -- A free luncheon will be held in San Diego, California, on Sunday, July 22, 2007, at 2:00 pm at the Marie Callender's restaurant located at 6950 Alvarado Road. The luncheon is intended to introduce handmade natural soap to the public, to motivate soap makers, and to serve as a network for anyone interested in handmade natural soap. This meeting is free and may be attended by anyone with an interest in handcrafted soap.
Originally founded by the employees of the Pallas Athene Soap company, four luncheons for soap makers are held throughout the year and have been very successful. The gatherings are friendly and informal. There are no meeting fees; attendees simply pay for whatever items they order from the Marie Callender's menu. Luncheon attendees should each bring a dozen business cards to give to other attendees for networking purposes. Those who attend receive a coupon for a 5% discount from Certified Lye, which sells high-quality sodium hydroxide for making soap.
