Morre-Tec Industries, Inc. , through its affiliate Extracts and Ingredients, Ltd. presents a new line of pomegranate based derivatives for cosmetic and personal care applications. The company offers pomegranate dry seed extract, dry peel extract, fermented juice extract and cold pressed pomegranate seed oil. According to the company, pomegranate derivatives have the highest concentrations of ellagic acid, anthocyanidins and other polyphenolics. Studies have shown that the natural compounds are powerful free radical scavengers. Cold pressed pomegranate oil is reportedly rich in punicic acid, a unique fatty acid known to strengthen the epidermis.
